Swiss Watch Gang

It has always been our greatest pleasure working with Marko, the face and brains behind Swiss Watch Gang. Sharing the qualitative art of watchmaking with a qualitative presentation, we think that Marko definitely helps to bring the industry to a much wider audience.

The Client

Swiss Watch Gang has started building the @swisswatchgang on several social media platforms in the year 2017. Ever since, it has provided its quality-hungry audience with a glimpse from the world of high-end luxury watches, focusing especially on independent and boutique watchmaking.

The Service

We have been working with Swiss Watch Gang as the brand's lead agency. That includes creating the brand identity of the company, as well as subsequent applications and the bi-weekly production of content for the company's YouTube channel, so far creating well over 60 videos in total.

The Creative Process & The Brand

In order to give our audience a clear introspective into our processes and how we work, we have decided to create a quick sample of how we were able to help out Swiss Watch Gang. A key goal of Effekt Agency is to demistify a creative agency’s process and involvement, in order to create transparency and trust between clients and agencies.

About the Brand

From Swiss watches, to international watchmakers, Swiss Watch Gang’s goal is to nurture the world of watches and teach the new generation all about it.

Apart from working with other content creators, the company also works in partnership with many brands, where the goal is to create intriguing and educational content. After production, they share it on all of their social media platforms, helping the brands extend their reach on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and TikTok. 

The Brand Identity

Due to the confidential nature of some of the briefings between us and our clients, we will only list a few examples, ensuring transparency without spilling all of the company’s secrets to its success. (Hint: It’s really boils down to hard work.) This also ensures that the company will be able to keep its audience on their toes with it’s future projects.

Step 01


The first step in creating the brand identity was a thorough research phase, in which we sat down with Swiss Watch Gang and talked about their goals, feel, voice, motivations, philosophy and positioning.

All of this information helps us make designs that are more relevant and stand out, while also giving you an idea of what position your company can take in the industry space.

Step 02

Logo Design & Type

Having gathered the relevant information and art direction, we crafted a logo that has fit the attributes that Swiss Watch Gang and its audience would be drawn to. We have also identified the typography and color palettes to be used with the final logo and as usual, we gave the client multiple choices to choose from.

Step 03


The final step of the process was to create the printable deliverables for the brand. Since the brand’s presence is focusing on digital media, we were focused on creating just a few physical examples and also focused on animated content for the YouTube channel, such as the animated logo, banners, lower thirds for introducing guests and more.

The YouTube Channel

We started working on the YouTube Channel in April 2019. The first YouTube video went live on the 12th of August 2019. In our studio in Zürich, we built a physical set for the YouTube Channel to make that we keep the brand identity inside fo the videos, even on an environment level, pristine and consistent.

Step 01


All videos are planned and discussed with Swiss Watch Gang in advance. Together we discuss the product, topic of the video, location and other idea, in order to make the video as valuable as possible for the target audience. We strongly believe that all created content should have significant added value to each viewer.

Step 02


For a video we take about 1-2 days for the script and logistics, 1 day of filming, finishing it with 3 days of editing and color correction.

After the video is finalized, we start with the YouTube optimization which includes the custom thumbnail creation, intriguing video title, video description, video tag analysis and adding the cards and end screen buttons.

Step 03


We create teasers for each video, which is distributed on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. (9:16 Size Format for Instagram Story with custom graphics + 4:5 Size Format for Instagram Post)

The main types of videos that we are creating can be arranged in the categories of: watch reviews, watch collector interviews, brand visits, explanation videos, Q&A, as well as SWG Brand Story Videos.

Videos are produced at least 2-3 weeks before publishing.

The Results

Our efforts have generated results. We’ve been closely monitoring the statistics of the videos in order to be able to make minute adjustments that would influence the videos performance. Below, we will share a few things that have happened since we launched the first video, on the 12th of August 2019.
